An Unexpected Trance-like Journey in a Celestial Town Called Tamraght.

Beautiful View from Tamraght

Last July, I found myself caught in the chaotic routine of city life, feeling completely overwhelmed and drained. I craved an escape, a chance to break free from the hamster wheel and rediscover peace in a new and unfamiliar place. And that’s when I made the decision to pack my bags and head to Tamraght for a quick two-day getaway.

I had no idea that this impulsive vacation would turn out to be one of the most transformative experiences of my life. All of my troubles and stress vanished the instant I set foot on Tamraght’s sun-kissed beaches, surrounded by stunning mountains and breathtaking sunsets. As I explored the idyllic town’s charming coves and hills, the tiny hideaways where I work, such as Hey Yallah and Surfone, further added to its allure.

Hey Yallah

But what truly made my stay in Tamraght an unforgettable experience was the wonderful people I met there, particularly my two closest friends who traveled all the way from Casablanca to join me on this adventure. Their sharp intellects, warm souls, and epic DJing skills kept us entertained throughout our stay, and I soon found myself living a life that I never thought was possible.

Tamraght taught me to look at the world with fresh eyes, to embrace every experience with an open heart, and to see beyond the surface level. I learned that life isn’t just about whether the glass is half full or half empty; it’s about seeing the whole damn kitchen! The positive energy of Tamraght was contagious, and it inspired me to extend my two-day break into an extended stay, until the day I wrote this story.

And so, the Tamraght Syndrome was born. It’s a term invented by my friends and me to describe the inexplicable magnetic pull of this magical place that has the power to change lives. Tamraght is a state of mind, a sanctuary that anyone who visits once can get hooked for a lifetime. I have been on a true spiritual journey during my time here, and it has left an indelible mark on my soul that I will carry with me forever.

As a tribute to the magnificence of Tamraght, I’d love to share with you a playlist curated by an artist I deeply admire, Slicks. It perfectly captures the essence of this place that has captured my soul, and I hope it brings you as much joy and inspiration as it has brought me.

Here’s the playlist: it’s called Tamraght Sunsets, enjoy!

And for the record, I believe that everyone has their own Tamraght, their own muse-like place. Some of us find that in a person even, it doesn’t really matter! Just find what you love and let it LOVE you!
